About the BEACON Mentor Network
The Beacon Mentor Network is a diverse group of professionals who offer personalized guidance to DreamBeacon Fellows.
Unique to DreamBeacon, MyCareerGPS Mentorship is grounded in the mentee's guidebook, operating as a compass for their journey. The mentorship process has 4 core components:
- Mentees complete their MyCareerGPS guidebook to better understand their personal and professional motivations in three guided sessions (clarifying the why).
- Mentees collaborate with DreamBeacon Coaches to refine their goals (specifying the what).
- Informed by the guidebook, DreamBeacon determines mentor-mentee pairing (identifying the who).
- Mentors provide support, resources and social capital to guide mentees toward their defined destination (outlining the how).
Our goal is to ensure that professionals at all levels reach a state of clarity and confidence, where their dream careers or life pursuits feel attainable and just within their reach.
Our Story
DREAMBEACON was initially developed out of a need to support students and early career professionals in their pursuit of success and career achievement in a rapidly changing and highly competitive marketplace, with a focus on identifying and determining their life's purpose. Our original scope was to provide resources and tools to students and early professionals to help them navigate the challenges of the modern workforce and to thrive in their careers.
However, based on demand and further research, we have broadened our scope to support individuals at every phase of their career journey, including students, young professionals, and experienced individuals. Our organization remains committed to providing individuals with the necessary resources and support to discover their passions and align them with their professional goals.
Our team is comprised of dynamic student leaders, business leaders, and educators who collaborated to determine the key elements required for success in this modern environment. As the costs of education continue to soar and students are increasingly burdened with debt, it has become even more critical for them to develop a competitive value proposition as employees or entrepreneurs.
We believe that finding one's life purpose is key to achieving fulfillment and success in both personal and professional lives, and we remain committed to supporting individuals in their quest for personal and professional growth.
Process
1. Sign Up
Click on the Sign Up button and complete a short registration form.
2. Connect
The DreamBeacon admin team will connect you with a match. You'll be notified through email and on the platform.
3. Engage
Your mentorship journey begins.
Upon completion, save your profile as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the 
icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to final approval and activation, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
